If your gate score is 5.85 out of 100, then 1000 is ten times of 100. So, therefore, your score out of 1000 will be ten times of 5.85. so, your actual score out of thousand would be 58.5 marks in the GATE entrance examination being conducted by the various IITs as per the procedure.
