no meed to worry , inform them about it, and also duplicate one can be used in case of emergency.

If the duplicate certificates are issued by the relevant Board and University with proper seal and stamp, then these documents will definitely be accepted by all government authorities during the document verification process.

also, if you loose your original documents, for say, like school ones , cbse provides duplicate certificates that are valid, you have to pay some fee for it.
