If you get a seat from JoSAA and you accept it, but later you choose you do not want it, you may need to pay the seat acceptance fee at the start. This fee is typically not refundable if you choose to withdraw your admission before retrieving your seat and official documents by the deadlines. If you do not accept the seat at all (meaning you do not pay the seat acceptance fee), you will not have to pay any fees.

1. If you don’t accept the seat (no payment), there are no fees.
2. If you pay the seat acceptance fee but then withdraw, most likely you will not be able to retrieve the fee.
