Yes! IGNOU is a Government University!

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), was established by an Act of Parliament in 1985 approved by Ministry of Education. IGNOU is a public, Central University which is UGC,AICTE,DEC,COL,UNESCO,AIU affiliated.
