The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition Gwalior, otherwise known as IHM Gwalior, was set up in the year 1987.

This institute consists of a centralised and air-conditioned computer lab for students with a total of 42 advanced computers along with licensed software to fulfil the IT-skilled students.

The Institute of Hotel Management presently has a total of three full-time courses of hospitality education and training for various levels. Such programmes are a bachelor's degree, a diploma programme and a master's degree.
