Hello,

Actually the different IITs & NITs conduct there admission eligibility criteria as per marks basis. But there is a variation for the different IIT or NIT.

There is one rule for both the institutes which is the students who are applying for phd must be have a degree om MTECH or ME for a equivalent institute and obviously have to qualify the national level exams like GATE, UGC-NET etc.

There no extra marks for journals but its help you to make your extra activity strong and obviously make your thinking skill strong.

Hope it will help you.

Thank you.

hi,

see candidates are eligible to take admission in phd courses in nits by clearing GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET, however cutoff score varies every year and some of the iits takes personal interview or written test. that time you may get advantage if you have research journals published in post graduate level.
