I'm 21,I completed my graduation this year, everyone was saying that i should join M.Sc. But i wanted to try out competitive exams so I'd be sure whether to continue with these exams or join msc after the year and focus completely on research work and Ph.D.

Hello,

You should do what you are confident in and based on your capabilities you should choose the field you can surely get your hands on.

If you have been preparing properly for the said competitive exams then you should give it a year and see how it goes. However, some people also opt for doing MSc and along with it they do their competitive exams preparation just to be on the safe side. Since you will have the option of continuing your higher studies even after attempting the competitive examination, you can always consider this option.
