Don’t worry too much. This kind of mistake can be corrected during the counselling process .

Here’s what you should do:

1. Attend counselling as usual – Go to the document verification with all your original documents, including your BC-C caste certificate .

2. Tell the verification officer clearly about the mistake you made while filling the application form or hall ticket.

3. The officers will correct your category based on your original caste certificate. This happens in many cases, and they allow correction during verification.

So, you won’t be disqualified just because of this mistake. Just make sure to carry all the correct documents with you.
