The career prospects for economics graduates are many.

If you are pursuing your graduation in economics from University of Delhi, you can try for placement through your college placement cell or the central placement cell.

You can write CAT and try for MBA from some good management institutes.

You may choose to teach economics at secondary, graduate, postgraduate levels and at management institutes. Some of these might require a PhD or a National Eligibility Test (NET) qualification.

You can go for MA and PHD in economics.You can specialize in any of these interdisciplinary fields: Agricultural Economics, Financial Economics, Labour Economics, Industrial Economics, International Economics, Business Economics, Banking Economicsm, Environmental Economics, Developmental Economics, Econometrics etc.

Another option open to you is to apply for B.Ed which will direct you in the teaching line.

One makes a successful career as a Corporate Lawyer after BA in economics followed by LLB. BA in economics and MBA placed one at a better position in the private sector. Economic Journalism is another shining area for job perspective. You can prepare for UPSC and take Economics as your graduation subject.
