YES, you can get admission in MBBS in Jammu and Kashmir, Like many other states, Jammu and Kashmir medical colleges also have certain quotas but this does not mean that a student from any other state of India cannot take admission in the medical colleges located in Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) will be conducting the J & K MBBS 2019 admission. The important dates of the admission to J & K MBBS BDS 2019 have been released which can be checked here. The conducting body will start the Jammu and Kashmir MBBS admission process with the release of an eligible list of candidates. The list will contain the name of those candidates who have submitted Jammu and Kashmir as their state of eligibility for counseling of 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. These candidates have specified they belong to Jammu and Kashmir and will not be participating in the centralised counselling of 15% AIQ seats.

Further, the candidates included in the eligible list can participate in J & K MBBS 2019 admission process. The complete admission process of Jammu and Kashmir MBBS BDS 2019 will include filling of application form, participation in the document verification session and counselling process. The conducting body will release the merit list between these processes to reveal the eligibility of candidates for the next process. BOPEE is the conducting body for all the seats of government medical and dental colleges of Jammu and Kashmir MBBS 2019 admission as the state do not participate in the counselling for 15% AIQ seats. The non-participation of these colleges implies candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir are ineligible to participate in the AIQ counselling. Only those candidates who will submit the self-declaration form will be eligible for AIQ counselling and will simultaneously become ineligible for Jammu and Kashmir MBBS admission 2019. BOPEE will take admission on the basis of NEET score only.
