Mostly in NIT's and IIT's there are Tution fees exemption scheme for the people who earn below the specified income (as per the choice of IIT's/NIT's). For this candidates, the fees are exempted but they have to pay the other fees such as Hostel fees, Mess fees etc.

Now in some of the IIT's and NIT's there are student welfare and alumni club's from where the students with weak economical background are provided financial. So until and unless you go into a NIT/IIT, you can't figure out how to resolve this issues.
