Since you have not mentioned the name of board so it is quite difficult to guide you with an accurate information but in general Physics is a mainstream subject whether you are from Biology background or from Mathematics background and if you fail in any of the mainstream subject then you will be considered as fail in your overall result so if you are failed in Physics then you will be considered as fail in class 12th. Now what you can do is, you can appear for compartment paper of Physics from your respective board and if you clear it then your status will be changed from fail to pass in class 12th.
