IPMAT consists of 2 sections. The 1st section on QA is split into MCQs and Short Answer Questions. Under Syllabus for Section 1 which includes QA, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning the topics that are covered are:

QA: Number system, Percentage, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Profit, loss and Distance, Average, Time and Work, Ratio, Proportion and Variation, Time, Speed and Distance, Sequence and Series, Mensuration, Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Equations, Logarithm, Geometry, Coordinate Geometry, Matrices and Determinants.

DI: Basics of Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Practise Exercise on Data Interpretation

LR: Sequencing and Arrangement, Team Selection

VA&RC: Reading Comprehension, Para-jumble, Idioms and Phrases, Fill in the Blanks, Antonym, Synonm, Confusing words.

IIM Indore IPMAT 2020 exam paper will consist of two sections:

Section-1: Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning - 60 questions

Section-2: Verbal Ability& Reading Comprehension - 40 Questions

One of the best books to prepare for IPMAT is Crack the IIM Indore IPM Entrance Exam, published by Pearson and written by IIM Lucknow Alumnus Nishit Sinha.

Apart from these, you should also go for certain magazines like Business and Management Chronicles by Chronicle Publication and Competition Success Review or even newspaper such as The Hindu, Economics Time and The Statesman.
