Hi ! In this current market there is a huge competition in two streams- CSE and ECE, because both of this stream provide huge amount of jobs. If you feel that you are enough strong in these two field then you can take any one of them. But don't take it if you are not sure because it may end your career and may turn you into a jobless. Other streams and bit unique like chemical and biotechnology are good stream with low competition but low jobs in India but higher job prospect in foreign. Core like civil, mechanical, electrical are good with poor market condition. So good decent on this core stream and get a good job. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.

1. Now a days everyone is aiming for software jobs after completion of engineering irrespective of branch so why can't you take CSE,IT which covers programming and software development.
2. Mech, Civil have less placements unless the college is well known
3. If you are interested in PSU's , better choose EEE , ECE and EIE but it's not easy to crack govt. Jobs
4. Any branch is better if you are going to get seat in IIT's or NIT's
