A prior knowledge in computer science is not mandatory for pursuing engineering in computer science. You learn from the basics itself once you enroll in the course. Before starting college you will need to learn the basics of C, C++ and other languages or topics included in your B.Tech 1st sem syllabus and you will be good to go.
