Let me first tell about the seats breakup in various colleges- As of 2020, the total number of seats for undergraduate programs in all IITs was 16,053. As of 2020, the total number of seats for undergraduate programs in various National Institute of Technology colleges was 23,506. The total number of seats that list of IIITs for general, OBC, SC, ST & PwD categories was around 3433.
In order to get admission into these colleges, around 8 to 10 lakh or students registered themselves for the JEE Mains examination. Hope you found it helpful.
