All the states are participating in the NEET 2017 & will fill their 85% seats of MBBS/BDS colleges through state counselling, while the remaining 15% of the seats will be filled through All India quota counselling. The eligibility for the 85% quota seats of the states are mentioned below:

• Candidates must have completed/appearing his/her 10th and 12th from the state.
• Candidate must possess a valid domicile of the state.
• Candidate should possess a residency proof of the state.

You DOMICILE CERTIFICATE decides your eligibility criteria to avail 85% quota seats of a particular state. It is immaterial to the state board that you are studying in.

Hi VIJAY, As per your query about the eligibility for State quota 85 % seat, i would like to say Yes he/she will be eligible for State quota even if HSC is from outside Maharashtra IF HE HAS DOMICILE OF THE STATE.... Studying in MAHARASHTRA is not the sole criteria
