Hello Ekta,

here Ie = q/t = (1/10^-6)* 1.6*10^-19 = 1.6*10^13 A

Since 2% is lost, 98% reaches the collector

Therefore collector current, Ic = 0.98 * 1.6 * 10^13 A

Therefore current transfer ratio is the ratio between output current to input current

i.e. a = Ic/Ie = 0.98
