Electronics and communication has wide spectrum of job opportunities . Take up the course only if your interested.  The course deals with both software and hardware topics . So if your are interested in software industry then mend your skills accordingly and you still you have studied the hardware concept which is an added advantage and same applies when you choose to work for core industries.
