UR reservation means Unreserved Candidates. Unreserved candidates are those who didn't come under any of the reservation such as SC/ST/OBC. The UR candidates are also called General Candidates. A student who is an UR can apply for EWS certificate which gives him/her a reservation of 10% for that the student have to get all the eligibility criteria for the EWS certificate to be satisfied.

The eligibility criteria for the ICAR is pretty straight forward:

  • The student must be at least 16 years of age.
  • The student must have completed the 10+2
  • The student must have score 50% marks in 10+2 if OBC/UR and 40% if SC/ST.
