From JEE Mains 2017, you just need to score above75%in boards. Board marks will be considered just as Eligibility Criteria andWILL NOT CARRY ANY WEIGHTAGE.

If you still want to opt for improvement exams,

Candidates appearing for CBSE Improvement Exam are issued a new marksheet, reflecting their revised marks.

You need to attach it with your previous marksheet.

Suppose you appear for improvement exams in all subjects and score 90%, and before improvement you scored 95%, then 95% will be considered
Yes CBSE updates its database.

If you appear for improvement exam as a private candidate, you will be issued a new roll number.

From the given data, your score 93.5% will be considered.

You may also appear for Open Board exams (NIOS). They offer on-demand examination.

Hope it helps. :)

Yes, definitely the highest score is considered in individual subject if you apply for three.
But total percentage after improvement must be more.
That means you scored 65% initially and applied for improvement and scored 63% the initial marks are considered
So,if you score more marks in individual subjects automatically you percentage increases.

Hii..

For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
