Hi

With  80 percentile

With this rank, your chances of getting a seat in NIT is extremely low. Even to get a seat in lower NITs your  rank should have been at least around 50,000

For example,

National Institute of Technology Agartala is one of the lowers NITs and in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, the closing rank for general category in NIT Agartala was  50010 rank and it was for Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.asp (https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx)

So, to get into NIT you need at least around 96 percentile.

But yes,

You  have chances in lower government engineering college, some of which are listed below along with the link for their previous year cutoff :-

*Dr APJ Abdul Kalam UIT Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Jhabua :- https://www.careers360.com/colleges/dr-apj-abdul-kalam-uit-rajiv-gandhi-proudyogiki-vishwavidyalaya-jhabua/cut-off

*Jabalpur Engineering College, Jabalpur:- https://www.careers360.com/colleges/jabalpur-engineering-college-jabalpur/cut-off

*Usha Mittal Institute of Technology, Mumbai:- https://www.careers360.com/colleges/usha-mittal-institute-of-technology-mumbai/cut-off

Above prediction of colleges is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below
