No, it's not mandatory to get into Hostel life if you are choosing MBBS stream. Hostels are for the one, who lives far from Institutes, can't attend college/classes on time. If you can attend college on time and house is near to the institute you need not opt for Hostel. Because MBBS classes are much more important, even a single chapter is mandatory to attend.
