Hello,

There are three rounds of centralised admission process. The details about each round is mentioned below:
FOR CAP ROUND 1:
Candidatesnames featuringin the final merit list of CAPare eligible forthis round who have to fill online option form

Candidates whose first preference is allotted to them will have to accept the allotment.
These candidatesallotment will be auto freezed and they wont be able to participate in further rounds.

Such candidates have to visitto ARC for document verificationand payfees through candidates Login

Candidate hastoreport to the allotted college to finish admission formalities.

Candidates who are allotted colleges other than their first preference andare satisfied anddo not wantto participate in subsequentroundscan freeze their seats.

Candidates who areallotted colleges other than their first preference andacceptthe seatsare eligible toparticipate in furtherrounds forcolleges higher in their preference list.

Candidates who are allotted collegesother than their first preference and donot accept the seatsare eligible to appearin furtherrounds

For CAP ROUND 2:
Round II is forcandidates who are allotted seats other than first preference in round 1 and are seeking their preferred college. There will be no such opportunityafter Round II

Also, it isfor candidates who arenotallotted any seat in Round I

FOR CAP ROUND 3:
If there are any vacant seats left after Round I and Round II, Round III takes place. The status of vacant seats is published online on MH CET Law website.Candidates eligible for Round III are allowed to fill or edit the online option form filled in by the candidate for the previous round.

So coming to the point what is the meaning of freeze and float in CAP rounds:
FREEZE round- Accepting the offered seat by paying the full fee in the College/ Institutionallotted. Such Candidates will not be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.

FLOAT round- Accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to a programin any Institution of higher preference is offered, they will accept it. Else, they willcontinue with the currently accepted program. Such candidates will be consideredin subsequent rounds of admission, such candidates accept the seat bypaying seat acceptance fee.

I hope your doubt is cleared. Good luck!
