It is important to attempt each section because if you leave any section you won't accumulate or score any marks which will lower your chances of qualifying. Since the competition is high, you cannot afford to miss any section because it would not help you gain any favourable outcome. Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics are the four components of the National Entrance Screening Test. Each section is worth 50 points.

In the exam, you will be asked multiple choice questions. Candidates must choose one of the four options shown to them.

The questions in section II will have one or more correct answers, and candidates must indicate all correct answers.

There are no deductions for questions that were not attempted.

The best three subjects' grades will be taken into account while calculating the NEST result.
