Dear aspirant,kudos for clearing JEE Mains.now coming to your question,yes every NIT asks for a GAP affidavit. they may ask in on the time of physical reporting to the college or in betwewn your college semester in the 1st year itself.so my advise is to make it before hand.

From the year 2008 , the ministry of human resources and development has started asking for an affidavit for gap year students. So , all the NITsand IITs have mentioned it in their guidelines that it is mandatory to bring an affidavit from notary for the gap year students or droppers.
