In this JEE Mains exam, can a student apply for both quota EWS as well as general quota.

Hi,


In the JEE Main exam, if you have applied under EWS quota, you cannot separately under General quota. Although, if your rank is good, you will be treated as a general candidate with no reservations (who have access to only 40.5% seats), if you make it to the common merit list and another person would move up the ladder to fill your place through the EWS quota. However, if your rank is not good enough to make it to the common merit list, then you can get a seat only by availing the 10% EWS quota.
