No doubt SC candidates have high competition because all India population of SC people is 15% while that of St is 7.5 % and is is the purpose for the but SC students being more privilege compared to St category students because St category students are particularly the peoples who historical I live in the forest and their lives completely dependent and forest so many ST category students are not able to get any kind of education as they live in the forest and their life and stare but in contrast SC category are more close to the mainstream and are provided with greater opportunities compared to St category their easy for competition

Obviously there are less number of seats for ST category in colleges
But on the other hand if you see cut off the cut off for ST is also less.
So it will balance nearly  equally.
Because the number of seats is more for sc. And there cut off is also high.
But apart from all these there is more competition in ST . Because there is not much difference in cut off.

Its hard to predict which caste gives you high competition while it varries with year to year on approximately both will be nearly equal competition ,i would like to suggest you concentrate on scoring rather than competition with caste or these kind of thing
