Hey aspirant,

580 is a good score for NEET 2020. According to 2019 ranks you would have secured a position somewhere between 10248-12898. Getting a score more than 500 in NEET entrance exam opens a wide range of colleges for you. Scoring 580 will allow you to secure a good college.

580 out of 720 in Neet 2020 means your expected rank would be around 12000 to 14000 and the expected percentile would be around 98.88 to 99.38. Now the score depends on various factors and the cutoffs do change every year. So it totally depends on what State you want to apply and if you want to apply under All India Quota or State Quota. If w ego through the cutoffs of various colleges, anything less than 550 for General category is less. There afe few states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra etc have higher cutoffs while states like Himachal, Assam, Tripura, Bihar have quite less cutoffs. And you cannot apply for State Quota of every single state which means you should also go for All India Quota. Unless knowing your state and category it is difficult to predict. However, in general, 580 in Neet is quite a good score. You can expect a good government medical colleges in your State quota. I would suggest you to use our Neet college Predictor tool to know where you have good chances http://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hey there!

Cut offs for the colleges change every year as they are dependent on many factors, therefore you can't exactly predict it. But if we go by the trends in the cut offs, then we can assume that 580, is a good enough score to get a government medical college. All India quota cut offs are generally higher than the state cut offs but even with that you have great chance of getting seat in government colleges in many states.

To see the options of colleges you can get into based on your neet score, you can also use the neet college predictor tool, here's the link for that - https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
