As per your mentioned percentile there is a less chance of getting top NITs like warangal, surat , Allahabad etc. But you can get into the other NITs if you are really interested for it. But I would suggest you to go for april attempt in order to get into top NITs.

98.5 is a very good percentile and getting admission in top NITS depends on your category as well.

If you belong to general category you can expect low ranked NITS but if you have any sort of reservation then you have a chance in top NITS as well. The branch which you want to choose is also important and pay attention to it as well.

Compare your estimated rank with previous year's cutoff ranks of the NITS in which you want to take admission in. By doing so you will get an idea if you can get an admission in NITS or not.
