Scoring 99 percentile in jee mains like competitive exams is a very good performance. Due to High competition, your rank will be approx. 11k on  this percentile.

For getting seats into the NITs, your jee mains scores must be more than 97 percentile for general candidate. If you want a good NITs with good branch then your jee maina scores must be equal to 99 or above 99 percentile.

Yes it is a good score but not a best score . It can lead you to some of the top NITs but it won't allow you to get a seat of most sought branch in top NITs. Therefore you need to strive hard to cross your own record .

If you aspire to study Computer Science Engineering in NIT Trichy , then you need to get around 99.9 percentile so  as to secure a seat in the best NIT .

as you know that the expected cutoff for this year for the general category is 89.75. that too for the qualyfing for the jee advanced examination. of course the 99 percentile is excellently good as it can lead you to one of the best colleges of our country an moreover the best nits for your desired course
