yes candidates are eligible for gate stipend one the applicant qualified gate exam from the category which has mentioned in the application form, suppose you have applied in GATE exam from SC category and you have got the required marks to qualify the gate exam based on sc category. so you are eligible for scholarship only of you take admission for full time m.tech courses and have valid documents to claim your category.
