Being a student of AOT itself I think I'm capable enough to answer your question. Firstly, let me tell you this college is best for CSE and ECE branches. They are the ones that generally grab 1 - 2 job offers. So did I.

But keep in mind even if the placement and faculty are both good and you will get a lot of opportunities to shine and grab a job offer. But your success will lie in your personal performance and your eagerness to learn.

If you want to know anything about any college like ranking ,campusing , faculty Never ever believe the Ex senior or College websites information.... It's gray and biased . (Try to search NBA (Govt. portal) and careers 360 like portal)
I had search the careers 360 website(one of the biggest education portal),and find out Academy of technology is average or below average in 2013 ranking .... in 2014,2015 College is n't in top the rank list.
National board of accreditation (NBA) is n't accredited any stream of this college according to their site.... 
So it's a Below average  according internet giver information.
