Talking about the  placement scenerio,it is quite good.But it is very hard to get placed.Fifty to sixty percent of student get placed every year.The average package is about one lakh fifty thousand per annum.If you want to get placed in a good company,you have to be academically good.Hope you have got your answer.Thank You
