No, only PSUs accept and recruit on the basis of Gate but yes if you talk about private companies then the criteria of providing job varies organisation to organisation so it is quite difficult to predict but yes, generally chances of getting recruited in private companies is little less as Gate score can be an add on but cannot be the basis of getting placed.
