In 2010, Azim Premji University was established. The institution is sometimes referred to as APU Bangalore. The Azim Premji University Act of 2010 created the university as a not-for-profit institution in the state of Karnataka. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted Azim Premji University recognition under Section 2F. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses are available to students at APU Bangalore.
