It is good book for solving tougher problems , in mathematics for jee advanced . In many coaching's , it is  a must solve book , as it contains questions , which require strong conceptual knowledge . Some of the topics like inverse trigonometric functions and solution of triangle can be left , as those questions are not of jee advanced type questions , but the rest of the chapters can be practiced , it will help you get better at understanding concepts . But it takes time to solve , it might even take around 20-30 minutes to solve some of the tougher numerical and integer type questions .

Yes, Vikas Gupta book by Balaji Publications is a good book that you can refer for maths in JEE Advanced.

Also, problems in this book are sometimes hard to solve and lengthy of your basic concepts aren't clear enough. It has a lot of problems that students find tough to solve but is of great help by providing good quality amount of questions.

You would have to give enough time to solve each problem since it mostly requires basic concept knowledge to to very good.
