Yes, it is a good option if you don't get the MBBS. BAMS almost similar like MBBS. Now days ayruveda is widely accepted and become an alternative medicine in many parts of India. If you are interested in studying traditional Indian medicine system ,then it is  better to choose BAMS. It is the five year and six months course which include four and half years of academic and one year of internship. After the graduation, you can pursue for higher studies in MD or MS in ayruveda.
