Bangabasi College which is affiliated to Calcutta University is quite a good place to study in. BSc. Honors in Computer Science is a 3-year undergraduate program offered by the college. The syllabus is up-to-date, and students are provided with all the facilities like well equipped computer labs, the teachers also impart quality education to the students through use of modern ICT facilities apart from the conventional teaching methods, remedial classes are held for students to improve their performance in University Examinations, and also students are made involved in various seminars and code competitions in order to improve their skills.

However, the college does not provide any internship opportunities to the students. Placements are considerable, as companies like TCS and ICICI visit the campus in order to recruit the students.
