B.Arch stands for Bachelor of Architecture and it is a five year long undergraduate course. Study of architecture involves desinging buildings, blueprint for houses etc.

As infrastructure building and construction activities are rapidly growing in india, constructing and designing business is expanding and hence scope for architecture is widening day by day. 

Is it worth pursuing ? The answer actually depends on how much effort you put while pursuing the course. The study requires aptitude and interest. Creativity can be developed along with the process. Interest is what plays a key role and depicts if it's worth pursuing.

The initial pay after the degree is not impressive. It ranges from 15k-30k depending on your portfolio, the college you graduated from, the firm you are applying for and etc. factors. You can be a freelance interior designer but this requires experience and confidence. The more work experience you gain the more impressive is your portfolio and more is your chances of getting into a bigger and better firm.

Coming to your rank, sorry to say but during JoSAA counselling the closing rank of most colleges is around 5k- 6k. You can apply for other private colleges if you want to pursue the course
