ICAR(Indian Council for Agricultural Research) affiliation is generally needed if a college/university is offering B.SC Agriculture or any other Agriculture programs. So, Banaras Hindu University has Institute of Agricultural Sciences, which is fully recognized and affiliated by Indian Council for Agricultural Research and has recognized it as State Agriculture University.
