Biotech:

Branch of science in ehich raw materials are transformed into amazing innovation, discovery and products by using biology and technology. Biotech is a broad branch which include many fields like genetic engineering , bioprocess engineering etc. Some big MNCs hire students for their life science domains, you can get good opportunities. Comparatively, it has somewhat wider scope than genetic engineering.

Genetic:

It is the manipulation of organism's genes for advancing healthcare , medicines, etc. It is subset of biotech engineering. Genetic engineering is completely research oriented field, a Ph.D degree is imperative if you want to climb ladder at work. It is still in development stage in India though it has gained much importance in last few years. But other developed countries genetic engineering is doing really well. USA and UK are at the forefront in research.

Now your question depends whether you want to go for research or enter the industry. There's nothing like better thing. If you enjoy it, you will surely make your way.
