Coming to your question I would like to tell you that the cat exam is one of the most common exam for the entrance in the MBA as it's elligibility is you should have atleast 50% marks in your graduation , and yes the cat entrance exam is elligible for all the central University for doing the MBA ,

Dear Suresh, there are more than 100 Institutions that participate in CAT. The following Central Universities not only participate in CAT but also provide 100% Placement Assistance. The names along with their course fees is as follows:

FMS, New Delhi: 0.25 lakhs

IIT, Mumbai: 16 lakhs

JBIMS: 2 lakhs

IIT, Delhi: 8 lakhs

IIT, Kharagpur: 6 lakhs

XIM, Bhubaneswar: 17.3 lakhs

SIMSREE: 1.36 lakhs


All the Participating Institutions will announce their Cut offs. The cut off is prepared after checking various factors. MBA aspirants will have to apply separately to all the Colleges that accept CAT scores. While CAT score remains the main criteria for selection, few Institutions also consider other factors like previous academic performance, work experience, gender and Academic diversity.The process of selection such as Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview are conducted at the Institution's discretion.
