Cengage is a good book for competitive exams and i have used it personally during my preparations for JEE and Wbjee.This book enhances a deep understanding with slow but steady build up of a strong physics foundation.The numericals serve as an approach to various real life problems and prepares you to take a deep look on the various types of question you might face during your jee.The chapter of kinematics is very good and brings home a very good knowledge.Moreover the cengage book is so popular because it has been written by Kota faculties.

So, no doubt this book will surely serve the purpose.

Cengage Physics contains a set of 6 physics books.  Writer of these books is BM Sharma. These books are really nice for NEET as well as for IIT-JEE . These books contains theory as well as numerical problems.

Theory of these books is so good and easy to understand. Numerical problems in these books are ranging from zero level to Advance level. Some good thinking problems are also in these books. For NEET this is a very good book. But for IIT-JEE this book is not so enough.

So I am suggesting some other top books for IIT-JEE .

• HC Verma Physics ( vol 1 and vol2 )
• Physics by IE Irodov
• Physics by DC Pandey

You can go through these books alongwith Cengage Physics for JEE.
