NIT Suratkal is one of the topmost NIT's,civil engg is one of the oldest branches started at the NIT , how good it is is a subjective question as it generally changes from person person to person but since its one of the topmost colleges of the country its quite decent on every parameter,notable core companies that come in are LnT, Tata Consulting Engineers, Atkins, Total Environment, Development alternatives, Shobha Developers and others, only few core companies visiting campus is just contradicted by above names,average package generally ranges between 4-12 lacs and highest package varies it generally depends upon the skill of a particular indiviual student.
