Dear Student ,

Yes .. CSD is a good course if you are interested in design related jobs in IT fields , but now a days the demand of CSE/IT graduates is greater than the CSD students .. and in that case I'll suggest you to go for CSE if you are interested to get job in IT sectors just after your graduation(through on/off campus placement)

so, finally I can say .. every courses are unique in its own ways, if you are interested in CSD ,.. you can do some certification courses also which may help you in future .
