Dear Snehi, generally in these cases domicile is not required. As your passing 11th and 12th is itself the proof that you belong to this state. So during the counselling they won't ask you for domicile. But for safer side keep it with you as in case of any problem they may ask you for this.
Mine was also the same case as yours but I kept my domicile with me for any mishap.

Domicile certificate is not necessary for admission in engineering college or even counselling of engineering colleges if and only if you are looking engineering colleges in maharashtra itself. On the other hand if you are looking for colleges in other states then domicile certificate is compulsary for the proof.
