Yes, the college is autonomous though it is a government college yet it is autonomous under MAKAUT. Being autonomous means that the college is recognised by the government but the syllabus followed is not as that of the university.

Hello dear , No, it is not autonomous college . The Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology (GCECT), formerly known as College of Ceramic Technology (CCT), is a premier government funded academically autonomous institute, affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology) .
