Grameen Mukt Board or GMVSS (Grameen Mukt Vidhyalayi Siksha Sansthan) is an autonomous body for open schooling. According to central government (MHRD) there are only 8 autonomous board that are verified.

1. CBSE - Central Board of Secondary Education

2. NIOS - National Institute of Open Schooling

3. CTSA - Central Tibetan Schools Administration

4. NCERT - National Council for Educational Research and Training

5. KVS - Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan

6. NVS - Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti

7. NCTE - National Council for Teacher Education

8. NBB - National Bal Bhavan

So, GMVSS is not recognized by any central or state association. No government body is taking any responsibility for it. In May 2018, The Hindu posted a news where they mentioned that GMVSS is not a recognized board. So, grameen mukt board will not be valid in govt sector.
