The IIIT Surat is an excellent college in general. Students at IIIT Surat enjoy the same campus facilities as students at SVNIT and are much better than students at most IIITs. There are indoor badminton courts, a gymnasium, basketball and tennis courts, as well as a large playing field that is mostly unmaintained. Besides this it has a huge fully air conditioned library. Hostels also do have very fast Wifi. IIIT Surat offers only two courses-CSE and ECE as its curriculum focuses mainly on the IT sector. The syllabus of IIITs are regularly updated to cope up with the needs of the society. Important topics like- Artificial intelligence, Robotics, Machine learning and Web development are included in the syllabus. The syllabus of most IIITs are more updated than that of IITs.
